Peter-Marc Fortune is a Consultant Paediatric Intensivist and Chief Clinical Informatics Officer at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. He studied medicine as a post-graduate having previously worked as an engineer during which he completed a PhD in digital mobile communications.

He holds particular interests in medical informatics, resuscitation, human factors and medical ethics. He is the digital lead for the NHSE National PEWS programme known as SPOT (Systemwide Paediatric Observations Tracker) that is about to release a beta specification for implementation.

He is a recent Clinical SRO for Digital Child Health and Maternity at NHSE, past president of the Paediatric Intensive Care Society and Clinical Advisor to the Paediatric Critical Care GIRFT workstream. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine, and Faculty of Clinical Informatics
